Anyone else watched the trailers for the Dr Who season finale yet?

Looks like a fan favourite is about to pop up to say hi. My mum is getting scarily accurate with her predictions for a fairly casual viewer. During season two she asked 'The daleks are going to come back at the end aren't they?' and this time she kept asking if this person was going to show up. I have to admit I had been wondering myself: after all, it's 4 seasons now, they had to show up sooner or later or it wouldn't be Dr Who. On a side note, I want their gloves. Imagine putting lenses in with those things on. You'd poke your own eye out.

Only thing that worries me slightly is that the whole finale is only going to be about 1hr 40 mins and they seem to have a *very* big cast. Veryverybig. But hopefully they can pull it off.

BTW, I'm sure I've said this before, but Ianto has the funniest facial expressions EVER. Such a sweetie, albeit with a warped sense of humour.

And you have to love synth chuckles.

Greek! Hahaha, yessss!! I got a first! And a good first too. <3 And that was such a crazy exam - I didn't even manage to finish all of it, way too much to do in the time given.

Can you tell I'm a little excited?

Two small bits of good news before I get back on with my essay (1 of 3, soon to be available at an exam office near you. If you're near Edinburgh.):

1) I finished my art for the exhibition! Yay! I have to go and give it in tomorrow. :)

2) I got my Greek mark back and I got 86%. O.O A 1st/A is 70%. How come I'm so much better at Greek than my other subjects? Lol. But yes. *Very Happy* <3 And it only took 11 weeks for the results to come through. X3



I'm such an egotist on this thing. I should be asking what people think of Torchwood (apparently this week's was a good one, will have to catch up on BBC iplayer) or Ashes to Ashes (I want Sam back... n.n) or something not about me, at any rate. So, er, what do people think about them? :o

I came back from uni today, and about 5 minutes after I got in my friend gave me a call to say that she was moving house. She'd been having loads of problems where she was before, and she'd finally managed to get the accomodation people to give her a room change.

(Although they suddenly told her she'd have to pay £50 - for what, exactly? Most of their buildings are generic clones, the room costs the same and they gave her no help in moving. Hm. I hope she can get that back somehow.)

I obviously wasn't going to let her move by herself, so we ended up moving all her stuff by hand from the 5th floor of one building to the 3rd floor of another.

It took about 4 hours. LOL. But it made the shower I had afterwards feel doubly good. X3


I also noticed during this that Cecilia's printer is actually a printer/scanner, and she said I can use it whenever I want (yay!) so I may actually be scanning some of my art sometime soon. :3 Oh, I need to post some writing too. Must remember.



Still no exam results! It's been about 7 weeks now. How long do you other people who are at uni/been at uni usually wait?

I got so many lovely cards from my friends and family, too. My Wirral mates have all written such nice messages that it makes me miss them so much! I've already got presents, too, including Axel (yay!), a Tardis USB hub (useful and cute), the latest PotC film (I can't wait to see it at last!) and a homemade birthday cake (mm, yum). I am so spoilt! And we're going to watch the Lion King this evening. <3

In three weeks I'm free!

I really can't wait. I'm missing LJ and DA, I'm missing commenting on people's journals and art. I'm missing drawing, too. I haven't been able to draw for weeks now, and I miss it so much.

I'm very sorry for not being around.

But only three weeks to go.

And I get my blood test results in a week, too. Woo!

An amazing thing: I was just trying to distract myself from my Latin translation by throwing Maltesers and catching them in my mouth (much harder than you'd think...) and I've just seen that the back of the packet has GREEK WRITING on it.

My day is made. Now my subjects actually have some practical everyday useage to be had from them. :o *goes off to read it*




....And you can tell you're stressed when your hand randomly starts bleeding. Oopsh. :) I haven't had that since I was a toddler!

Wikipedia, whyyyyyyyyyy?

They're normally so good at labelling sections with a 'spoilers beyond this point', but whilst I was trying to check that I'd got the right spelling of a character's name, I read 'this character dies in such and such an episode'. And they're one of the main characters! I'm so traumatised. O.O But I'd much rather have found out when I watched it... It's just not going to have the same impact if I know it's coming.

I hate spoilers. >:(

On the whole, Serbia probably did deserve to win, especially if you just listened to the song without watching the screen. Also, they didn't sing in English but in *gasp* their own language, which has to deserve brownie points. But Germany deserved more points than that, surely? I mean, they had trilbies.

Poor Ireland. The UK obviously forgot how voting is supposed to work. (Speaking of, why did Malta give the UK's dreadful song 12 points? Had they gone mad?)

This is really just an excuse to show one of my new icons. I don't actually like Vic Tyler (from Life on Mars)...why would you... but I did find it really funny when he came out with 'Oh my godfathers!'.... twice. Seriously. X3

Work has been so incredibly dull for the last week because we have been doing virtually nothing but TPS. Telephone Preference Service. I think there must be institutes filled with people who were made to call TPS once too often. :3

Did have some entertainment last night, though, when it turned out Gaz (fact: this guy is currently at uni) thought that paper was made from someone getting a tree and slicing it up really thinly. It got even better when he said he thought that white paper with lines was created by somebody using paint or dye to colour it.

...Although it turned out that a lot of the other people didn't know how paper was made either. Scary!

It's my birthday! :o

Everyone's been really nice - Susannah and Emma sent me birthday emails, Nikki and Wendy sent me birthday texts and Gabi sent me a text AND a card with a big long letter inside. I miss her so much. X3 But they'll all be back in about two weeks and I can't wait to see them all again.

Oh, and Paul forgot my birthday but let me drive his car, which was a bit scary (I'd hate to be the one driving if something bad happened to his car, although he did point out he's crashed it twice, lol) but really fun! The gearstick is really titchy, it's about the size of a poppy. I get the impression it's a pretty powerful engine though.

I got a really lovely coat-jacket from mum that I think makes me look like a stylish WWII fighter pilot, a great and very pretty jumper, the best of Linda Smith book (I think the nurses are stealing my clothes), The Thunderbolt Kid and Series 3 of friends (if anyone's interested, they're going for about £10 a series in HMV right now, go get them!). Oh, and a Su-doku puzzle I haven't had a chance to have a look at yet. And a jigsaw. I'm so spoilt by my friends and relatives. X3

Where did the sun go? It's dark when I go to school and dark when I get home from work. Sort of fun, but not for colouring. :3

Last week's episode of Torchwood was really creepy. I really hate that sort of horror, but at least I can cope if it has Jack, Gwen, Tosh and the gang. And Ianto and Tosh actually headbutted/kicked someone, aww. They're just so cute normally that you wouldn't think they had it in them. Also, after the conversation last week, I was trying to work out who had kissed who so far, because it's insane. So-

Gwen has kissed her partner
Owen has kissed/had it off with some random couple under the influence of alien drugs
Gwen has kissed lady-possed-by-alien
Jack has kissed lady-possed-by-alien
Owen has kissed Gwen (several times)
Ianto has kissed his psycho-girlfriend Lisa
Jack has kissed Ianto

...And Tosh has kissed nobody! Yay! Although she apparently once kissed Owen under some mistletoe. Speaking of, why does he have more than one person fancying him? He is not a nice guy.

Great series, anyway. Although it really puts you off fairies, kids, and rural nutters.

How big is that? How big?? We have it on a shelf in the cupboard and I know one day it's going to fall on my head and knock me out. ;; ...I need to eat it before it gets me.


Sorry about being gone for ages, BTW. I hope it won't happen again. At least I've done some of the birthday pics I owed people:
